Rich Fogoros, MD lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is a former professor of medicine who spent over 20 years as a full-time clinical cardiologist, medical researcher, teacher and author.

After two decades of his multi-faceted exploration of the American health care system, he formulated the Grand Unification Theory of Health care. Finally, armed only with his Grand Unification Theory, he left the practice of medicine in 2000 and began to make his living by consulting, writing and developing his web site.

He has written a book titled "Fixing American Healthcare, Wonkonians, Gekkonians, and the Grand Unification Theory of Healthcare". Both the book and his web site expose how managed care (managed costs) covertly rations health care to control costs and plan to destroy the doctor/patient relationship to do the same. He then offers doable solutions to fix the American health care system.

Reading "Fixing American Health care" is like reading an Ayn Rand novel, a murder mystery (how the doctor-patient relationship has been killed), a philosophical treatise, an investigative report, and an expose of Wonkonians' and Gekkonians' agendas. Richard Fogoros reasserts the primacy of the doctor-patient relationship by proposing a balanced solution to the health care crisis that addresses the needs of society, physicians, patients, business, and government. Quite an accomplishment."
