Charlie O'Leary, PhD.
Charlie O'Leary, PhD has a private counseling practice in Denver, Colorado. He was a member of the Center for Studies of the Person for 20 years, where he studied with Carl Rogers. He is on the faculty of Regis University in Denver, Colorado. He is the author of Counseling Couples and Families: a Person Centered Approach (London: Sage, 1999, translated into Italian and Japanese), the first book integrating Carl Rogers' principles with the practice of couple and family therapy. He is an approved supervisor of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, He is currently at work on a general audience book: Finding a Better Way to Feel Sorry for Yourself. He presents workshops in the U.S., Great Britian and Italy where he has been likened in British terms to "John Cleese with a doctorate in therapy." He has applied his work on family and couples therapy to dentistry. He has presented workshops at the Group at Cox and Rocky Mountain Rendezvous and has consulted with individual dental practices.
