Coming soon - a revised edition of the highly acclaimed book In a Spirit of Caring by Lynn D Carlisle DDS.

It has been 15 years since In a Spirit of Caring was published.

Many people have asked me in the last few years if I was going to write a new book or rewrite this book. I have wrestled with what to do. In re-reading this book, I feel that it has stood the test of time well.

So, I don't want to change it by rewriting it. Instead of enhancing the content, I think the book would lose its integrity.

But, I think a new edition with comments by me is appropriate and would update the book into the 21st century. Its perennial wisdom is needed more in these troubled times than when it was published.

It will also help new readers discover the timeless truths about understanding and finding meaning in doctor-patient relationships explored in the book. Previous readers will re-discover an old friend.

It will be published (probably in January of 2009) on the ISOC web site as an e-book and will be free to ISOC members. Non-members can join ISOC for $49.00 per quarter to access the book. To join, go to Membership has its advantages

Stay tuned, I will announce when the book will be published in the bi-weekly ISOC bulletin and by e-mail.

For those of you who are interested in my current writing, you can wander around this web site.
