Lynn D Carlisle
Printer-Friendly Format

John Naisbitt coined the phrase High tech/High touch in his 1982 book "Megatrends" to emphasize that every advance in technology needs to be balanced with advances in high touch.

In dentistry, state of the art digital photography, digital radiography, information systems, educational systems, digital record systems and the computer and internet help Tier IV, relationship-based dentists enhance their "point of care" high touch dental services and dentist-patient relationships.

When used appropriately, these technologies along with search engines and display ads like Google AdWords help these dentists and team members rivet their attention on caring for their patients.

Read the first two articles listed below to learn how to use the current state-of-the-art technology to add high touch to the high technology you have in your dental practice.
